A presente invenção refere-se a um material de poliuretano, os revestimentos preparados a partir deste, e métodos para fazê-lo. Um material de poliuretano auto-reticulável aniônico tendo um peso molecular médio ponderal de menos que 15.000 gramas por mol e, quando curado, tem uma tenacidade de pelo menos 20Mpa de acordo com o MÉTODO DE TESTE DE TENACIDADE a uma temperatura de 25 C.
