Abstract
MÉTODO E APARELHO PARA DIAGNOSTICAR DISTÚRBIOS DA RESPIRAÇÃO DURANTE O SONO ENQUANTO UM PACIENTE ESTIVER ACORDADO." Trata-se de um aparelho e um método para identificar o sincronismo do início e da duração de um evento característico de distúrbio da respiração durante o sono enquanto um paciente estiver acordado. As técnicas de processamento caótico analisam os dados a respeito de uma função cardiorespiratória, tal como o fluxo de ar nasal. As excursões do sinal resultante além de um limite fornecem indicadores para a apresentação da taxa média de repetição para tais eventos que são úteis no diagnóstico da apnéia obstrutiva do sono e outras disfunções respiratórias
