"LIGAS METÁLICAS PARA A CAMADA REFLETORA OU SEMI-REFLETORA DE UM MEIO DE ARMAZENAMENTO ÓPTICO". Apresenta-se uma película fina de liga à base de prata para a camada de revestimento altamente refletora ou semi-refletora de discos ópticos. Adições de liga à prata incluem zinco, alumínio, zinco mais alumínio, manganês, germânio e cobre mais manganês. Essas ligas têm uma refletividade de moderada a elevada e uma razoável resistência à corrosão no ambiente.
