Um polímero superabsorvente compreendendo um polímero superabsorvente de absorção retardada tendo uma propriedade de absorção de água livre de absorção de menos que cerca de 3 gramas de solução salina aquosa por grama de polímero superabsorvente em cerca de 6 segundos, para uma distribuição de tamanho de partículas total de polímero superabsorvente na faixa de cerca de 40 micrômetros a cerca de 890 micrômetros.
