Abstract
"COMPOSIÇÕES E PROCESSOS PARA DETECTAR TREPONEMA PALLIDUM". São fornecidos processos para a detecção específica e altamente sensível de infecção por Treponema pallidum que compreende o uso de proteínas antigênicas específicas e de peptídeos exclusivos do Treponema pallidum. Em particular, são fornecidos ensaios de detecção baseados no reconhecimento de proteína ácida de repetição. Os processos da presente invenção são particularmente úteis para a detecção de sífilis primária em estágios precoces de infecção. Além disso, os processos e as composições da presente invenção são dirigidos à detecção diferencial das infecções específicas por Treponema permitindo a identificação dos agentes causadores dos estados específicos de doença por Treponema: sífilis Treponema pallidum subespécie pallidum, bouba ( "yaws" ) Treponema pallidum subespécie pertenue e bejel Treponema pallidum subespécie endemicum.
