Abstract
Patente de Invenção: "CÉLULAS TRANSFORMADAS ÚTEIS PARA O CONTROLE DE PRAGAS". A presente invenção fornece materiais e métodos para o controle de pragas, Especificamente exemplificado encontra-se o uso de hospedeiros recombinantes para controlar larvas de mosquito. Estes hospedeiros, que podem ser, por exemplo, leveduras ou algas, podem ser transformados para que expressem um polipeptídio pesticida que controle larvas de mosquito. Estes micróbios transformados podem ser então aplicados a águas superficiais onde provavelmente se encontram mosquitos.
