Processo de prevenção de hipocalcemia parturiente e febre puerperal (paresia parturiente) em animais lactantes compreendendo administrar ao animal, durante o período seco, um composto que reduz absorção de cálcio da água potável e/ou da ração do referido animal. O processo baseia-se nos mecanismos naturais, poderosos, de regulação de cálcio e é aplicável em condições comerciais de pecuária.
