Abstract
"USO DE UM ANTAGONISTA DE INTEGRINA PARA INIBIR CRESCIMENTO DE TUMOR CEREBRAL". A presente invenção descreve métodos para inibir o crescimento de tumores no cérebro, usando antagonistas de integrinas tais como ~ v~ ~ 3~ e ~ v~ ~ 5~. Os antagonistas da presente invenção podem inibir a angiogênese no tecido tumoral cerebral. Eles também podem inibir a adesão celular mediada por vitronectina e tenascina e a migração em células tumorais cerebrais. Eles também podem induzir a morte direta de células tumorais cerebrais.
