Abstract
Patente de Invenção: "ASTAXANTINA SINTETASE" . A presente invenção é dirigida a materiais genéticos úteis para o preparo de astaxantina a partir de beta-caroteno, tal como polipeptídeos tendo atividade de sintaxe de astaxantina, fragmentos de DNA que codificam a sintaxe de astaxantina, organismos recombinantes e semelhantes. Esses novos materiais genéticos podem ser originados de Phaffia rhodozyma. A presente invenção também proporciona um processo para a produção de astaxantina.
