Formada a partir de material adequado a sua função de ajuste de tamanho, devidamente confeccionado a fim de apresentar diversas peças (1) unidas ou não por juntas articuladas (5), cada peça (1) possui no mínimo duas partes sendo uma externa (3) e outra interna (4) que formam uma articulação telescópica (2), para aumentar o tamanho total ou parcial do boneco com dimensão variável basta expor a parte interna (4) e para diminuir o seu tamanho basta embutir a parte interna (4).
