O presente aparelho é constituído de uma base eletrônica do formato de cabeça (5), na sua extremidade; esta base acoplada ao monofone (8) do telefone convencional cria um raio em volta do aparelho de 3m de espaço físico. O intercomunicador tem um plug para gravador na parte inferior (2B). A fonte de energia pode ser externa alternada (2B) ou à pilha (4 pequenas AA).
