Este processo consiste numa forma de tratamento de solo onde haja possibilidade de controlar a sua fertilidade. Compreende em uma escavação de um solo arenoso, onde é colocado no espaço delimitado um plástico laminado isolante. Sobre este plástico será reposto o solo anteriormente retirado e composto com material fertilizante formando uma unidade independente de solo.
