O lixa-pé descartável fabricado em plástico injetado para reposição de lixas de papel tem por finalidade maior a absoluta higiêne e seu uso porquanto os lixa-pés comuns são propícios à proliferação de fungos e bactérias infecciosas transmissíveis. Nas figuras 1 e 2 observa-se claramente as lixas de papel dispostas em suas ranhuras (encaixes).
