Um utensílio para tostar pães e similares é proporcionado, fabricado a partir de um material refratário transparente, de modo a permitir a visualização do alimento em seu interior. A tostadeira compreende chapas de cocção (1) integralmente formadas com uma porção de haste ou cabo (2) cuja extremidade distal apresenta uma seção transversal ampliada definindo um punho (7) e meios de encaixe (10, 11, 12, 13) definindo uma articulação pivotável para as chapas.
