O modelo de utilidade refere-se a um porta-retrato executado em material laminar e flexível, cujo distanciador do suporte é parte integrante da base, sendo curvado contra o suporte e unido a este por um entalhe recortado na própria extremidade livre do distanciador. O porta-retrato compreende uma base (1) e um suporte de sustentação (4), sendo a base (1) dotada de um distanciador (2), cuja extremidade livre possui um entalhe lateral (3) e um chanfro (9) no lado oposto. O suporte (4) possui um rasgo central interno (5) onde é introduzido a extremidade livre do distanciador (2). O suporte (4) é retido no distanciador (2) por meio de um entalhe (3) que aprisiona a espessura do dito suporte (4).
