Compreende chassis (1) com as barras (2) e (3) e engata (4) suportando um redutor (5) e um cardan (6) que recebe o movimento de uma tomada de força do trator (7). O redutor (5) transmite por meio de 3 correias em V (8) o movimento ao disco (9) que corta com quatro facas (10) a cana que passa pelo funil (11) acompanhada por duas correntes. Estas duas correntes (12) são movidas por engrenagens (13). Estas engrenagens (13) giram em mancais (14). Tudo isso recebe o movimento de um motor hidráulico (15) que por intermédio de 2 mangueiras (16) recebe óleo do engate rápido (17) da bomba hidráulica do trator.
