Abstract
N-beta-hidroxibutiril-aminoácidos são fornecidos. Também são fornecidos métodos para tratar um distúrbio metabólico, distúrbio inflamatório ou distúrbio muscular, aumentando a massa muscular e/ou melhorando a função muscular, reduzindo o peso corporal e promovendo o rejuvenescimento da saúde. Aspectos dos métodos incluem a administração de uma quantidade terapeuticamente eficaz de um N-beta-hidroxibutiril-aminoácido a um indivíduo. Em algumas modalidades, o N-beta-hidroxibutiril-aminoácido é administrado a um indivíduo para reduzir a ingestão alimentar, reduzir o peso corporal, reduzir o tecido adiposo, melhorar a homeostasia da glicose, aumentar a massa muscular, melhorar a massa muscular e/ou promover o rejuvenescimento da saúde. Também são fornecidas composições que compreendem N-beta-hidroxibutiril-aminoácidos.
