Um método (500) de prevenção de reversão fraudulenta de um aplicativo confiável (TA) envolvendo registrar repetidamente (510) um estado de execução do aplicativo confiável (TA); causar repetidamente (520) o registro do estado de execução em uma entidade externa ao aplicativo confiável (TA); após a ocorrência de um evento no aplicativo confiável (TA), enviar (530) uma solicitação (Sec_Update_Req, Issuer_Update_Req; Device_SE_Sign_Req) à referida entidade externa; receber (540) uma resposta (Issuer_Update_Resp; Device_SE_Sign_Resp, Sec_Update_Resp) para a referida solicitação incluindo informações que permitem a verificação pelo aplicativo confiável (TA) que um estado de execução atual dentro do aplicativo confiável (TA) não é mais antigo do que um estado de execução mais recente como registrado pela entidade externa; e controlar (550) o acesso ao ativo protegido (ta_asset) dependendo de um resultado da verificação. A entidade externa assina a resposta (Issuer_Update_Resp; Device_SE_Sign_Resp, Sec_Update_Resp) com uma chave criptográfica privada (issuer_priv_key; Devi-ce_se_priv_key), e o aplicativo confiável (TA) verifica a assinatura.
