A invenção se refere a uma metassuperfície óptica para interagir com a luz de entrada e um método para produzir uma metassuperfície óptica. A metassuperfície óptica pode ser usada como uma metalente, uma rede de difração com efeito blaze, uma placa de fase ou outro dispositivo óptico. A metassuperfície óptica compreende um substrato transparente compreendendo uma pluralidade de nano-orifícios ou nanopilares. A pluralidade dos nano-orifícios ou nanopilares do substrato transparente é coberta por uma pluralidade de camadas moldadas compreendendo um material dielétrico transparente.
