São descritos uma válvula de injeção de criogênio compreendendo uma primeira câmara (3) com um orifício (2), uma segunda câmara (4), um invólucro (9) com uma terceira câmara (5) e uma quarta câmara (6) e um êmbolo (1) que se estende em uma direção axial da primeira câmara através da segunda câmara até ou dentro da terceira câmara, sendo que o êmbolo é móvel na direção axial a fim de abrir ou fechar o orifício, e um método para usar essa válvula de injeção de criogênio.
