A presente invenção refere-se a uma composição inibidora de corrosão para uso na inibição de corrosão de superfícies metálicas expostas a um fluido industrial em um sistema de fluido industrial compreendendo uma mistura de (a) um ou mais ácidos graxos saturados, ou sais dos mesmos, tais como ácidos graxos saturados C8-C24, ou sais dos mesmos; e (b) um ou mais ácidos graxos insaturados, ou sais dos mesmos, tais como ácidos graxos insaturados C8-C24, ou sais dos mesmos.
