A presente invenção se refere a um forno regenerativo de fluxo paralelo, no qual cada poço compreende um meio para injetar um gás aquecido (6) no interior do poço (1) em trabalho de calcinação no topo da zona de calcinação (B) e um meio para remover (21, 23) do forno o ar de resfriamento aquecido em contato com o material calcinado, em um nível inferior ao canal de interligação (4).
