A presente invenção refere-se a uma nova forma cristalina de magnésio-serinato representada pela fórmula química 1 e um método para produzir a mesma. A forma cristalina da presente invenção tem excelente estabilidade ao calor e à umidade e pode ser preservada de forma estável sem sofrer decomposição ou transição de forma cristalina, mesmo durante armazenamento de longo prazo, podendo, portanto, ser usada vantajosamente como uma matéria-prima farmacêutica para medicamentos.
