Abstract

PROCESSO PARA A FUNDIÇÃO DE UMA MATÉRIA-PRIMA CONTENDO MANGANÊS. A invenção se refere a um processo para a fundição de uma matéria-prima contendo manganês utilizando pré-fusão oxidativa, o processo compreendendo as etapas de: alimentar aglomerados compreendendo uma matéria-prima contendo manganês a um reator 12 e formar um leito compactado 14 dos aglomerados no reator 12; alimentar um gás oxidante quente no reator 12 e passar o gás oxidante quente através do leito compactado 14 de aglomerados para formar um material fluido oxidado compreendendo uma fase líquida; canalizar o material fluido para fluir do reator 12 para um forno eletrotérmico 26; adicionar um redutor ao material fluido no forno eletrotérmico 26 para formar um produto metálico de manganês, um produto de escória e um gás contendo CO; e queimar o gás contendo CO para formar o gás oxidante quente e alimentar o gás oxidante quente de volta ao reator.
