São descritos uma forma de sal de composto de tetra-hidroisoquinolina substituída por benzo-heterocíclico e um método de preparação para tal. Especificamente, são descritas uma forma amorfa e uma forma de sal do composto conforme mostrado na fórmula (I), e um uso das mesmos para inibir a transferência reversa de íon sódio ou íon hidrogênio mediada por NHE.
