Abstract
USO DE PENTABORATO DE SÓDIO PENTA-HIDRATADO COMO AGENTE QUIMIOTERAPÊUTICO. A presente invenção se refere ao uso de pentaborato de sódio penta-hidratado enriquecido com isótopo de boro (10B, 11B) como agente quimioterapêutico graças ao seu efeito anticarcinogênico em câncer renal. Em resultado dos estudos experimentais realizados no escopo da invenção, foi mostrado que, enquanto o número de células de câncer renal decresceu em 50%, este efeito ocorre por travagem do ciclo celular e abrandamento da proliferação celular; portanto, pentaborato de sódio penta-hidratado enriquecido com isótopo de boro pode ser usado como agente quimioterapêutico no tratamento de câncer.
