O agente de pegajosidade dianidro-hexitol inclui o produto de reação do dianidro-hexitol, um componente diácido, opcionalmente um reagente difuncional, e opcionalmente um agente monofuncional de capeamento de extremidade, o agente de pegajosidade dianidro-hexitol exibindo uma temperatura de transição vítrea de 0 ºC a 120 ºC, ou mesmo de 30 °C a 100 °C, um peso molecular médio ponderal não maior que 6.000 e um índice de acidez não maior que 50 mg KOH/g.
