São descritos no presente documento métodos de uso de um anticorpo do receptor de peptídeo antinatriurético 1 (NPR1) ou fragmento de ligação ao antígeno do mesmo para o tratamento ou prevenção de uma doença ou distúrbio em um ser humano, em particular, para um distúrbio ou uma doença associada à atividade do receptor de peptídeo natriurético (incluindo, porém sem limitação, insuficiência cardíaca, por exemplo, HFrEF, HFmrEF ou HFpEF; ou hipertensão, por exemplo, hipertensão resistente).
