O método revelado faz simultaneamente com que o vírus, vetor viral ou partícula semelhante a vírus edite, remova ou modifique uma célula ou linhagem celular e insira um vírus, vetor viral ou partícula semelhante a vírus na mesma. Uma célula ou linhagem celular modificada produzida pelo método revelado também é revelada.
