A presente invenção refere-se a tratamentos para fibrose por administração de um inibidor de elastase de neutrófilos, tal como alvelestat. Em particular, a invenção refere-se a tratamentos para fibrose em combinação com outra doença, tal como rejeição de órgãos, por exemplo, síndrome da bronquiolite obliterante opcionalmente associada à doença de enxerto contra o hospedeiro.
