A presente invenção refere-se a composições e métodos para o tratamento de carcinoma hepatocelular (HCC) usando moléculas de siRNA. As composições são, vantajosamente, administradas na forma de nanopartículas, onde as nanopartículas também contêm um copolímero de histidina-lisina (´´HKP´´). Em modalidades específicas, a composição contém uma molécula de siRNA que tem como alvo o TGF-beta1, uma molécula de siRNA que tem como alvo a Cox-2 e um copolímero de HKP.
