Abstract
BIOMARCADOR E SELEÇÃO DE PACIENTES NO TRATAMENTO DE MIELOFIBROSE. Independência de transfusão em, e sobrevivência global de, pacientes com mielofibrose podem ser melhoradas selecionando-se um método de tratamento específico para paciente. O nível de ferritina de valor de referência de um paciente pode ser usado como um biomarcador para selecionar um tratamento de primeira linha. Os níveis de ferritina do paciente durante o tratamento podem informar decisões sobre o término do tratamento, ou a mudança de tratamentos para manter a dependência de transfusão e/ou converter um paciente independente de transfusão de necessitando de transfusão ou dependente de transfusão.
