Mais especificamente, a presente invenção se refere um uma proteína inseticida mutante Vip3 e sua aplicação. Através da realização de ponto de mutação em cada sequência de proteína original da família Vip3 na presente invenção, é obtida uma proteína inseticida mutante Vip3 com citotoxicidade de plantas reduzida e alta expressão em células de plantas, e que tem efeitos inseticidas excelentes sobre várias pragas de inseto.
