A presente invenção refere-se a um conversor multinível (300, 310) que inclui uma pluralidade de células de energia (302, 304) que recebem energia de uma fonte e suprem energia para múltiplas fases de saída (U, V, W), em que cada fase de saída (U, V, W) inclui uma célula de energia de alta tensão (302) que é projetada para produzir mais de três níveis de tensão.
