A invenção se refere a uma composição farmacêutica oral sólida estável que compreende itraconazol e que fornece redução na dosagem no tratamento de infecções fúngicas, incluindo infecções superficiais, como onicomicose, assim como infecções fúngicas sistêmicas, por exemplo, blastomicose pulmonar ou extrapulmonar, histoplasmose e aspergilose. O pedido também se refere a um processo para preparar a composição farmacêutica que compreende itraconazol.
