Abstract
ARTIGO DE BOLO ALIMENTAR SOLÚVEL EM ÁGUA OU DISPERSÍVEL EM ÁGUA CONTENDO BROMOFÓRMIO. A presente invenção fornece um artigo de bolo alimentar solúvel em água ou dispersível em água adequado para administração oral em um animal ruminante compreendendo um extrato de alga marinha enriquecido em bromofórmio é descrito. O artigo de bolo alimentar é, no geral, um artigo de bolo alimentar de rúmen. O extrato de alga marinha enriquecido em bromofórmio é um extrato metanólico ou um extrato de óleo de alga marinha. O bromofórmio constitui pelo menos 60% em peso do extrato de alga marinha. O extrato de alga marinha é extrato de alga marinha liofilizado. O extrato de alga marinha é um extrato de uma espécie de Asparagopsis de alga marinha. Um método de redução da produção de metano em animais ruminantes também é descrito.
