Abstract
SISTEMA E MÉTODO PARA HIDROMETRIA ESOFÁGICA.Um dispositivo baro-hidrômetro baseado em cateter mede ou monitora a função esofágica. O dispositivo inclui um design de balão segmentado, incluindo um primeiro e um segundo balão cujos volumes de enchimento podem ser controlados independentemente. Em geral, o dispositivo aproveita o peristaltismo secundário relacionado à distensão do balão para estudar a função esofágica. Sensores de pressão acoplados aos balões registram dados de pressão, que podem ser classificados e processados para medir ou monitorar a função esofágica.
