Abstract
A presente invenção refere-se a composições e métodos para o tratamento ou prevenção de distúrbios da superfície ocular, incluindo disfunção da glândula meibomiana, blefarite, doença do olho seco e outras doenças inflamatórias e/ou infecciosas da superfície anterior do(s) olho(s). As referidas composições e métodos compreendem conjugados queratolíticos que demonstram atividade queratolítica, e anti-inflamatória ou outras atividades desejáveis. A administração tópica das referidas composições na margem palpebral ou áreas circundantes proporciona benefício terapêutico a pacientes que sofrem de distúrbios da superfície ocular.
