A presente invenção refere-se a uma composição cosmética que compreende um produto de resina de copaíba que possui uma densidade maior do que 0,97 g/cm3, que compreende um ou mais sesquiterpenos e um ou mais diterpenos. Adicionalmente, a invenção se refere a um método para preparar uma composição cosmética que compreende tal produto de resina de copaíba e usos cosméticos da mesma.
