Abstract
MOTOR DE COMBUSTÃO INTERNA E UM MEMBRO DE LUVA DO MESMO. A presente matéria refere-se a um motor de combustão interna (101) conectado a um cano de escape (200). O motor de combustão interna (101) compreende um membro de luva (350). O membro de luva (350) está disposto em uma porção a jusante (307) de pelo menos uma porta de escape (304) fornecida em pelo menos um cabeçote de cilindro (203) de um conjunto de cabeçotes de cilindro (201) do motor de combustão interna (101). O membro de luva (350) é configurado para intensificar uma ou mais propriedades de fluxo do gás de escape que flui através do mesmo. A presente matéria possibilita a retenção de calor até uma distância maior de deslocamento de gases de escape. A necessidade de descartar uma unidade de conversor catalítico (206) próxima à porta de escape (304) é eliminada, melhorando-se, assim, a vida útil da unidade de conversor catalítico (206) devido à redução de queima.
