Abstract
COMPOSIÇÕES E MÉTODOS PARA TRATAR COMPLICAÇÕES DE INFECÇÕES VIRAIS E OUTROS TRANSTORNOS REPIRATÓRIOS. Em um aspecto, a presente revelação se refere a tratamento ou prevenção de uma doença ou transtorno respiratório, pela administração de uma ou mais composições que compreendem um polipeptídeo isolado derivado de uma alfa-Conexina. As doenças ou transtornos respiratórios exemplificativos incluem síndrome da insuficiência respiratória aguda (ARDS), lesão pulmonar alcoólica, lesão pulmonar aguda (ALI), fibrose pulmonar, fibrose pulmonar idiopática (IPF) e/ou doença pulmonar obstrutiva crônica (COPD). Em alguns aspectos, a doença ou transtorno respiratórioé uma complicação de uma doença viral respiratória.
