ARTIGO ABSORVENTE.Um artigo absorvente, tal como um artigo absorvente tipo vestuário, pode ter uma zona frontal, uma zona posterior e uma zona entrepernas que se estende entre e interliga a zona frontal e a zona posterior. Cada uma das regiões frontal e posterior pode ter um material elástico. O artigo absorvente pode ter um núcleo absorvente em que uma porção do núcleo absorvente pode ser localizada na região entrepernas, uma porção do núcleo absorvente pode ser localizada em uma porção da região frontal e uma porção do núcleo absorvente pode ser localizada em uma parte da região posterior. Dentro de cada região frontal e região posterior, pode existir uma região de sobreposição onde o núcleo absorvente está em uma configuração de sobreposição com o material elástico dentro da região frontal e região posterior.
