Abstract
PIGMENTO COM DURABILIDADE APRIMORADA E MATERIAIS PLÁSTICOS FEITOS COM ELE. A invenção fornece um método para aprimorar a durabilidade de um material de dióxido de titânio, o método incluindo a mistura de ácido cítrico e uma fonte de alumina com uma pasta aquosa de partículas de dióxido de titânio e água para formar uma mistura, a mistura tendo um pH ácido; e aumentar o pH da mistura para um pH não superior a cerca de 7,5 para formar partículas de dióxido de titânio revestidas com alumina. A invenção também fornece um artigo de plástico pigmentado incluindo partículas de dióxido de titânio revestidas com alumina preparadas de acordo com a invenção dispersas em um material polimérico.
