Abstract
COMPOSIÇÕES COMESTÍVEIS DE PONGAMIA E MÉTODOS DE PREPARAÇÃO E USO DAS MESMAS. A presente invenção refere-se a composições obtidas a partir do processamento de sementes oleaginosas de pongamia. As composições de pongamia resultantes podem estar na forma de farinha e ter uma composição nutricional otimizada obtida ao submeter as sementes oleaginosas de pongamia a determinadas etapas de processamento. As composições de pongamia resultantes também podem ter níveis reduzidos de caranjina, pongamol e taninos. Tais composições de pongamia podem ser adequadas como alimentos ou ingredientes alimentícios para seres humanos e outros animais.
