Abstract

SISTEMA ÓPTICO PARA EXIBIR UMA IMAGEM A UM OLHO DE UM USUÁRIO.Um sistema óptico para exibir uma imagem inclui um elemento óptico guia de luz (LOE) com uma região de acoplamento e uma região de propagação, uma configuração de acoplamento associada à região de propagação do LOE, um projetor de imagem para gerar iluminação de imagem correspondente a uma imagem colimada e uma configuração de multiplicação de feixe externa ao LOE. O multiplicador de feixe é uma placa transparente colada ao LOE adjacente à região de acoplamento. A placa transparente tem uma superfície parcialmente refletora entre o LOE e a placa e um refletor na superfície oposta. A superfície parcialmente refletiva e o refletor multiplicam o feixe do projetor de modo a iluminar totalmente a região de propagação do LOE com a imagem colimada e um conjugado da imagem colimada.
