Abstract
RESPIROMETRIA MITOCONDRIAL EM ESPÉCIMES CONGELADOS.Trata-se do uso de respirometria mitocondrial para se estudar a funcionalidade mitocondrial em tecidos saudáveis, bem como doenças mitocondriais ou doenças que têm uma ligação com a função mitocondrial, como diabetes mellitus tipo 2, obesidade e câncer. No entanto, as barreiras para se estudar o metabolismo energético são altas devido às limitações das tecnologias convencionais, que requerem a análise de espécimes biológicos vivos ou isolados recentemente. A invenção divulgada no presente documento fornece uma nova tecnologia para se avaliar a capacidade de produção de energia celular em espécimes biológicos previamente congelados.
