Abstract
INSERTOS OCULARES POLIMÉRICOS DISSOLVÍVEIS E MÉTODO PARA USAR OS MESMOS. A presente invenção refere-se a insertos poliméricos de olho que podem ser dissolvíveis quando colocados no cul-de-sac do olho. Esses insertos podem conter um ou mais polímeros, bem como um amaciante/plastificante de modo que, quando inserido no olho, possam absorver lágrimas e dissolver e liberar lentamente lubrificante no filme lacrimal para lubrificar e proteger a superfície ocular por uma duração prolongada de tempo. O aumento do tempo de retenção na superfície ocular para um alívio mais duradouro pode reduzir a frequência de dosagem e o fardo do paciente tipicamente associados ao uso de gotas tópicas. Esses insertos oculares poliméricos também podem incluir um ou mais agentes farmaceuticamente ativos.
