Abstract
AGENTE TERAPÊUTICO INALÁVEL. A presente invenção refere-se a um agente terapêutico para o tratamento das vias aéreas de um indivíduo que compreende um ou mais tipos ou tamanhos de partículas, sendo que cada partícula compreende, por sua vez, um invólucro biodegradável contendo um mucolítico ou outro fármaco no mesmo. Um aparelho de dispersão pode ser usado para entregar doses medidas de mucolítico e pode ser configurado para autoadministração pelo indivíduo. A encapsulação do mucolítico em uma formulação lipossômica pode impedir a oxidação prematura e manter a eficácia do fármaco após a entrega a um local-alvo no trato respiratório superior ou inferior.
