Abstract
COMBINAÇÕES DE FOTOSSENSIBILIZADORES E AGENTES QUELANTES PARA USO COMO INSETICIDAS. Um método para controlar pragas de insetos em uma planta é fornecido. O método inclui aplicar à planta e/ou às pragas de insetos uma combinação que compreende: um composto macrocíclico contendo nitrogênio que é um fotossensibilizador que gera espécies reativas a oxigênio na presença de luz, sendo que o fotossensibilizador é selecionado a partir do grupo que consiste em uma porfirina, uma porfirina reduzida e uma mistura das mesmas; e um agente quelante que é um composto de ácido aminopolicarboxílico ou um sal agricolamente aceitável do mesmo; e expor a planta à luz na presença de pragas de insetos para ativar o composto macrocíclico contendo nitrogênio e gerar espécies reativas a oxigênio.
