Em particular, a presente invenção fornece métodos para o tratamento de gastrite mastocística, esofagite mastocística, colite mastocística, enterite mastocística, duodenite mastocística e/ou gastroenterite mastocística através da administração de anticorpos que se ligam à Siglec-8 humana ou composições que compreendem os ditos anticorpos. A presente invenção também fornece artigos de fabricação ou kits que compreendem anticorpos que se ligam à Siglec-8 humana para o tratamento de gastrite mastocística, esofagite mastocística, colite mastocística, enterite mastocística, duodenite mastocística e/ou gastroenterite mastocística.
